The character I want, someone else has claimed. Can I use it too?
When it comes to canon characters, it's first come, first served. Some people who play the canon characters are also other original characters on the board and maybe only get on the canon account occasionally. We obviously can't have 5 Wolverines running around or 7 Jean Grey's, so if a character is claimed, they are off-limits and you'll have to either choose another, or create an original character.
If you really have your heart set on playing a certain canon and that character is claimed and inactive, please contact an Administrator. One of them will be able to find out if that character is available or not.
Can I be a Canon Character?
Possibly. Just go to the registration board and apply in the Canon character area. The Main Administrators will decide if your application has beed accepted.
Again, first time first saved.
Can I be the relative of a Canon Character?
Depends on what character. If a canon character is in place, we are not going to force posters to take on brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, sons, daughters, cousins, etc. It's up to the poster playing the canon character if they will have you as a relative, though an administrator can opt to let you, chances are, we'll follow their wishes.
How Do Power Levels Work?
For each post your power level will increase 5 points, so the more you participate the more your power level increases. Also Karma helps towards your power level too, if you receive good karma, your power level will increase by 2 points.
There will be missions in the future that can also increase the power level of the characters participating.
Can I switch houses?
The answer is very simple. No. Once you are sorted, you're character is in that particular house. You can always request to create an additional character, but a character you have already established cannot change houses
Why is my name still white?
Chances are, you haven't applied to be sorted yet... or an administrator who does sorting hasn't gotten online yet. If you haven't created a student character and then wouldn't need to be sorted, you need to request that your usergroup be changed. You can make a post in the thread here saying what your character is (teacher, Graduate), and an administrator will put you in the proper group
Why are there certain boards that contain passwords and how do I get them?
The boards with passwords have passwords for a reason. The people who can access those boards are a select few and that may or may not include you.
The Danger Room has a password because only those with power level over 500 can use it, so once you reach that level PM a main administrator and you will receive the password.
Cerebro has a password because only those with strong telepathic abilities can use cerebro. If you are a telepath and you have reached power level 1000 Pm a main administrator and you will receive your password

How do your classes work?
Subjects are classified according to the year you are in. Each teacher is responsible for their own class (lectures, homeworks, etc) Participating in your classes can earn points for your house
I have a great idea for a new board. Will you use it?
If we like the idea too, yeah. The best place to post ideas like that are in the Member Lounge area. We can't use all ideas or we'll have a million boards that only appeal to one or two posters, but if you have an idea for a board that will be helpful then we will use it, just be sure to be as specific as you can when describing your idea
I have a problem with another poster. What can I do?
If you just don't like someone, not much. If you are being harassed, made fun of (in a way you don't approve), or something like that, contact an Administrator through the private messaging system explaining the situation and providing information for them to check on things.
Can I be banned from this message board?
YES. We reserve the right to ban anyone we choose for breaking the rules. We follow a basic plan for this:
First Offense: A warning through the PM system or in the thread you violated the rule in.
Second Offense: Your account will be disabled for a day or up to a week, depending on the severity of the offense and you will get a Warning signal above your name.
Third Offense: You will be banned permanently
My friend was banned. Will you let them back?
If you feel a person was banned unjustly or you want to know why, use the Private Messaging system. The last thing I want to deal with is drama, so don't turn this place into a soap opera. Be mature and polite when questioning staff and don't make it a public matter.
PLEASE DO NOT create a new account and attempt to post under it. Your IP is logged and we will be able to see that, trust me. If you serve out your ban with maturity, you'll be welcomed back and your "record" erased.
Can I Start a Club, Organization or Society? / Can I Create a Club, Organization or Society?
Yes, of course you can, and we'll be happy to give you and your fellow club members a board to call home. Go here to register your Club or Organization, you can also use the bulletin board to advertize it.
When you have an idea you have at least 5 people that are interested, PM an administrator with the following information:
Name of the Club: Description: Usernames of the Moderators:
And the board will get set up for you. As a final note, we do have the right to turn down ideas if they are obscene or break any of the board rules.
How do I get an Apartment for my teacher?
Just Pm an administrator and they will create the board for you

What is The Buddy List?
the buddy list is a way to keep track of your friends. You can manage your list in your profile "Manage Buddy List", there you can check and edit the status of the members in your list
Will someone be modding the mission/task?
Yes. The main administrator will moderate the missions and tasks to make sure no one is god-moding. The person in charge of the task can also moderate their mission since they are in charge of it
Does it matter if its a good thing or a bad thing that your after? Missions and task can be both good or bad , it doesn't really matter as long as it moves your story line forward. it would pointless if you make just random missions and tasks because they will bring nothing to the table.
Can people be seriously hurt on the misson/task?
Yes you can, just remeber to talk about it with the other members of your team or with the people you are rping with so they know what to expect.
Can my character be killed?
Yes it can, just pm an adminitrator with your idea of how you plan to kill your character and why is that death relevant or important. Again, the death of a character has to mean something, son't kill your character just because you are bored with it and what to create a new one
How to use The Danger Room: It's very easy.
1. Make sure you click on reply when you post. 2. You start the Danger Room Session with 2000 points 3. Notice there is a dice button under the colors area 4. Once the fight begins, post as you normally would. If you are attacking someone be sure that you click on the dice at the end of your post, this will be the power of your attack. Example:
John was ready, his hand was burning with powerful flames. With a quick movement of his arms, a ball of fire was sent rushing through the air in Marks direction [dice=6] 5. The person who posts after this (in this case Mark) will notice the number of the dice in the previous post and that will be the amount of damage he will receive. It goes as follows: 1 -2 : (0 to 5 points) 3: (10 - 30 points) 4: (30 to 60 points) 5: (60 to 90 points) 6: (90 to 130 points) 6.
