Aiden stuffed his hands in his pocket as he turned a sharp left and walked down towards The Common Room well at least where he thought it was. He was slowly but surely getting to learn the layout of this place but naturally having a little trouble.Aiden had a bit of bad memory so it was easier said that done as they say. Asoft sigh escaped his lips as he made another right and walked up to a door before quickly walking away.
Darn it wrong door
10 minutes later he finally found the place he was looking for a sighed in relief. He looked around before taking a seat on the sofa and relaxing against it. Aiden was beginning to like this placee it was nice to actually walk in to a room and not get a nasty comment thrown at you or glare either. It seemed to him that everyone around here understood how he felt and that reassured him slightly.

Rachel walked down from the dorm, already having to learn where the places of first importance were - her dorm, some classrooms, danger room, common room, the bathroom and the way out. Other than that she really didn't think she needed to know. Well maybe she wanted access to Cerebro a bit, but even though she had power to handle it that was unlikely to happen. After all to these people she was just a kid. Oh how wrong they were to think that. Rachel never was a kid. Well maybe as very little, but since then not.
Walking into the common room she had to make a face at the encounter with Becky, she almost blew her web of white lies. Here she was just the sweet innocent girl who's powers went haywire and she ended up in the past. She didn't know what would people do if they knew she was ex hound murdered and shared her body with the Phoenix. They'd most probably freak out or try to do something about it, which in turn could anger the Phoenix so much it would overpower her. That she didn't want.
It took a bit for Aiden to get there, he apparently didn't know the place that well and got lost. But she sensed the approach from the corridor outside and instantly 'smelled' it - telepath. Right away she put the protective shields that concealed her deepest secrets and the Phoenix. She watched him sit down before walking over and sitting too. "Hello. You must be Aiden. I'm Rachel."

Aiden turned as female voice filled his ears and came to face with young looking women. He guessed it was Rachel. A smile formed on his face as he looked at her and simply nodded lightly. It was that moment in time he cursed his telepathy and it awful properties. Aiden hated being able to read peoples mind sometimes he always felt like his was intruding on other peoples buisness and him being quite a provate guy made him feel uncomfortable.
"Lovely to meet you in person at last"
Aiden said softly looking at her and he scratched at his head lightly. He really wasn't theh best person in the world when it came to meeting new people but he tried his best. Even growing up in Phoenix hadn't help. And due to his " freak powers" as his parenst called it he rarely made many friends.

Rachel also smiled, studying him slightly. He didn't seem the type to invade minds, though she still couldn't afford to lift the shields. Phoenix was easy to sense what with it's own power, at least if she didn't conceal it. Which she really did a lot. It was starting to get to her since Phoenix wasn't something she could conceal easily, it took effort. But still better than people freaking out about her being a potential threat, menace. She could handle it. Couldn't she?
"Same on my side. How long have you been in this school? That is if I can ask." Of course usually she could just slightly look for an answer, but so far she never risked that with telepaths. And people she cared about. But her curiosity got the best of her sometimes, having a power to read minds it was most of the time very tempting to also use it. Besides, if in her future she didn't 'borrow' knowledge she needed in hurry it could have ended badly for a potential mission or patrol.
The fact that was unethical in here most of the time kept her from invading, but when it came to things like classes, something she never had to deal with before, it was impossible not to. She seemed odd enough, she didn't want to look an idiot as well.

"Oh not long really. My parents sent me just under 3 days ago. They think I'm a "bad" influence on the family"
Aiden replied bitterly rolling his eyes lightly. He hated the way his parents had alway been so sour towards him eversince the discovery of his powers.Sometimes he wished that he didn't have such powers and so he could restore the relationship with his parents back to the way they were. But even he knew the reality of the situation would cause that to never happen. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he scanned the floor in front of him lightly and his mind flicked back to home once more.
" How about you? How long have you been here?"
He said looking back up to her as ran a hand through his black hair lightly and shook his head of his thoughts.

Rachel listened to him talk, remembering he said he was called 'freak' or something. That must have really sucked, having your own family against you. Yet it seemed a common thing here in the past. At least with the cases of jerks who couldn't get over their issues and fear to accept they were not the only ones who had the right to walk the streets on this planet. So it seemed even this, to her paradise, had it's setbacks.
"Sorry about your parents. That's too bad." She said honestly, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy. She herself didn't remember much of her parents, but she knew they were both mutants so if things went differently she knew she'd have support in them. More than Aiden could say apparently.
"Me? Well, I've been here for about two weeks. Kinda just appeared actually." Rachel didn't know if he heard about the fact she was from the future so she decided not to say anything about that yet, not wanting to shock him or anything.

"Yeah oh well that's parents for you"
Aiden replied with a ligh shrug glacing around the room briefly before facing her once more. Hesighed lightly before looking down and playing with his hands lightly and again once more his other power kicked. A light curse escaped his lips as he found his hands was slowly fading away and the rest of his body soon followed. Well at least around here he didn't have to feel like a complete weirdo or anything. Aiden could only guess it was kind of normal for thsi kind fo thing to happen frequently.
Thankful a few moments later his fe;t another wave of power come over him and he slowly returned to his normal state and look back at Rachel with small smile. Once again he ran his hand through his hair and bit his lip lightly as he looked at her with a confused expression at her words.
"Appeared what do you mean by that?"
He asked curiosity getting the better of him as usal.

Well he did probably have a point with the parents, she wouldn't know. Noticing him playing with his hands made her wonder what was going on in his head. Who knew. What really caught her interest were his hands vanishing. Rachel raised her eyebrow at this, then his whole body was gone. So a telepathic invisible man. Interesting combination, she had to admit that. It was like putting a part of Franklin and a part of his mother together to create something in between.
When he reappeared she couldn't help, she had to comment on this. "Invisibility power I take it? And from how you vanished at random you either still have trouble with it or, which is less likely, you are trying to show it off. But I'm willing to bet on the trouble." She said jokingly as if this was completely normal, wanting to make him feel slightly more at ease.
His question however was one she was tired of answering. Every time she had to tell where she came from she had to lie. To not reveal what kind of a horrible place that was, nor that she had the Phoenix within her. Those secrets she guarded like Pentagon with her mental powers. "Well I mean it literally. See my powers went haywire and I ended up from the future in here, the past. It's confusing really."

"Yeah still having a little trouble with it"
Aiden replied feeling his cheeks burn lightly. He looked down at the floor once again and listen to her words and his face turned in to a suprised expression as he looked up to her once more. Well if hadn't heard them all he certainly had now.
"Interesting. Ha yeah sounds alittle confusing I must say. "
Aiden replied with a soft laugh looking back at her with a smile on his lips. A few kids walked past and looked at them briefly before turnning back to Rachel once again. Oh well at least he had one new friend around here and that made him feel a little more at ease.
"So tell me what powers do you have?"

"I'm sure you'll get better. Just takes practice and lots of using your powers. No better place to do that than here." She said with a small smile, finding it amusing how his cheeks burned just because of a small thing like losing control from time to time. At least he hopefully never caused death with his powers. More than she could say about herself. But past, future, whatever, what she did she could not change or erase. Just live with it.
Clearly he was surprised by her from the future revelation, hell who wouldn't be. It wasn't every day you met a person who just managed to drop by from the future. "Oh you bet. My head hurts if I try to go as deep as to try and understand the prospects of time travel." She stated with a small frown, that was actually true. Time travel was a pain.
"I have telekinesis, telepathy, and as you can probably figure from the info and me being here, some limited time manipulation powers." She replied, no harm would come from that. People around here knew of her powers already anyway.

"Cool. Ah I see I'm not the only one with telpathy around here. I still need to control that as well but as you said thats why I'm here. And I agree practise makes perfect well that's what dad always use to say"
Aiden replied with a soft laugh rubbing at his eyes softly. He hoped in theh future that heh could control his powers enough so they didn't keeep on working when he didn't want to. Oh boy did he have that in experience. He remembered the few times his powers had got him to trouble at school in the pass. And yes some he regreted while other times it came in hand a good example being his ex boyfriend. Aiden smiled lightly at the though sure he missed im because eh was teh only person who understood and excepted him. The guy was pratically his closest friend.
"I have always wondered what it's like to time travel.I would love to able to swtich between different periods. I have a thing for histroy you see that would come as a great interest to me."

"Nope, you are not. I think there's at least one more aside from me. Though I haven't really gotten to chat around with all yet. But already I know an empath, girl who walks though walls and levitates, weather and earth controller, a pyrokinetic, elecrokinetic...as you see there are lots of different powers packed in this building." She said with a shrug, sometimes she remembered back to the statement that too much power in one place meant trouble. Who knew, maybe it did and maybe didn't. Or it depended on circumstances.
Rachel didn't really think she was the right one to judge that too much power in one place thing, after all she had the Phoenix. But what could they do, try and lock it or cut her in half? Already she knew that was a very bad idea, if it got angry only because of someone accidentally coming inside of her feelings, who knew what it would do if someone tried to lock it away. It had it's own power and hers to boost, damage could be quite ugly.
Aiden's wondering about time travel made her frown slightly. That was one risky business, one she got thrown into against her choice. "Believe me it's not what it's cracked up to be. Sometimes you get more than you bargain for and see things you were never meant to see."

"Wow. I haven't met amny people around here yet. I can be a little shy sometimes when it comes to new people you see."
Aiden replied looking about for the remote before grabbing it and flicking the television on.He himself knew that this place must be full of great power obviously. But also he couldn't help but wonder also if other like himself channged when their emotions took over? He himself when angered or upset became invisable in a instant. His mother had grown use to it in the pass but others always use to pick on him about it. Aiden faced his friend once more and played with his hnads slightly before looking up and facing her once more.
"I have a question. When you feel certain emotions. Do your powers act in different ways?"
Aiden asked with a light shrug facing and placing the remote down on the couch nnext to him before shifting slightly.

His statement about being a little shy around people made her smile, she would have probably been also if she didn't need people. The need had made her accustom to talking to people easily, is there were people around there was always someone to try and bring her back should she drift away and lose control over her, in some opinions, dangerous powers. "Well I personally feel better around people. Better than alone I mean." She said with a shrug.
Rachel watched as he turned the TV on, people in this time sure did watch TV much. Then again who could blame them? So many entertaining things were on. "Try finding some funny show. I love those. They make you laugh." She stated with a grin, almost tempted to use her telekinesis to switch channels faster.
Aiden's question about her powers made her slightly frown, oh if he only knew the half of it. Some mutants could say 'hey my powers caused a funny accident', she could say 'hey my powers killed people'. Not that she was going to at all. No way in hell. She'd like to stay the innocent girl Rachel in everyone's eyes. "Yes, they do. But I usually have a grip on it now, letting emotions control your power isn't all that great. Actually can freak people out. That's not very good with the fragile semi peace situation here. Most of the humans are still afraid of us in this time."

"I don't mind being arounnd people to much. But I myself prefer to be alone. I was bornn an only child and I guess that came with it. Never really was the socializer growing up"
Aiden replied and doing as requested flicking through the TV with the remote for a few moments before placing it on what looked like a funny show of some sort. He then replaced the remote back on the couch next to him before watching it for a few moments and then turning back to face Rachel once more.
"Yeah. I agree with the human being afaraid part. Back home when my powers use to go out of control due to my emotions people would look at me like I was some kind of monster. But I guess over theyears I have learnt to control them well kind of. I mean if I'm angered I have learnt to block my mind so I won't turn invisable.Because it seems because I'm quite a shy guy anyway that my body turns invisable so I can block people from seeing me and myself. If you catch what I mean"
Aiden said trying his best to explain how he thinks his powers might work. But failing by the looks of things. He put his hands in is alp and looked down at his lap feeling a little dumb about the whole thing.
