James walked into the Pheniox common room and found easily the door that lead to the boys dorms. Then again the doors were marked off and only if you were blind, a perv, or just plain stupid could you not see that the door to the right perfectly stated Phoenix Girls Dorms, Only female Phoenix students can enter unless male students are brought in. And teachers may enter if needed. To the left of the window directly across the room from the door to the Phoenix Tower was the boys dorms and on the door said about the same thing as the girls' door had. James read the door again and made sure he hadn't overlooked anything. He hadn't, his eyes may have been a bit weary from not sleeping too well for so long. James walked around the furniture admiring the woodwork and its beauty as he went by it to his dorm room. Once inside the Boys Dorm James turned on a light and found almost 2 dozen beds in the room. Half of which were bunkbeds. Nobody else was in the room and the beds hadn't looked claimed so he chose the bed next to the far window away from everything else. He liked his privacy.

James sat on the bed after dropping his things on the floor. Was there really 2 dozen beds in the room or was it his imagination overwhelming him, because of his current sleep deprivation. Since he had arrived at the academy he had missed a few classes and he knew it. he didn't quite care cause he could always catch up easily. School work was where he excelled. He always had.
Dang those voices in his head had always bothered him. At times he found himself trying to find a new way to make them stop by trying to harm himself. That was the main reason that he had been sent to an insane asylum. Not the fact that all his old friends and his family thought that he was nuts when he told them about the voices both human and well not quite human in his head.
James closed his eyes for a minute then reopened them. This time he only saw his own bed, the window next to him, the desk in which he'd spend long hours at doing homework either by hand or on the computer, the closet, the dresser the lamps which sat on the bed side tables on either side of his bed and then of course the rug and the large book case made out of Mahogany.
This seemed better than what he had first seen when entering the room. His things still lay in a neat pile on the carpet in the center of the rug on the floor. He'd deal with it all in the morning.

James had been here a while now and things started to feel more like home to him. He had never taken himself seriously or even his relationships with women. They never seemed to stay around as it was. So he never took it too seriously if things were going alright and then the girl broke his heart.
