Becky was in the common room trying to play some pool, she really sucked at it but it was still fun to play. There were a few students around, some she knew some she didn't...some of them were sort of intimidating so Becky just ignored them.
She though of the last time she was here, she was here with Rayne...she had such a huge crush on the guy. As she continued to play, she wondered if any of her friends would show up

Ever since Rachel got to the past thanks to the phoenix, which apparently kinda stuck with her, she had learned it was way different in here than the future she came from. For example humans may have still freaked out about them, but at least people in general accepted the idea of not being the only kind around. Plus the fact you could walk the streets more or less freely was wonderful. No sentinels to attack or kill you, undamaged buildings, no hounds to be cautious of.
Also she had came to see there were lots more things people did for fun in here. Most of which she looked stupid at, having no idea what was the point of it. But then there were also the good things, like pizza's of all kinds, soft drinks, smoothies, ice cream and so on. Not to mention how amused she was at the stuff in TV these days. Truly she was still somewhat alien in this, to her new, world.
Walking into the common room she saw some people having fun. One of them caught her attention more than others, Becky Monroe, a girl she sorta befriended in her time here. Going over she put up a smile and looked at the other girl. "Hey. What are you up to?" Okay so she could guess she was playing the pool game, though she still didn't get the point of that game.

Becky was still attempting to play pool but she just gave up, this was not her type of game at all. She smiled when she saw her friend Rachel walk in. She was such a mystery to her, it seemed that she came from the future. Becky didn't quiet understand how that was possible, but then again there were mutants that possessed time travel abilities. It would be so cool to be able to travel back and forth, if she had that power, Becky would be able to go back and safe her parents from getting murdered.
She looked up at the red head standing in front of her and walked away from the pool table "This game is stupid anyways..how are you doing Rachel?"

It would appear that Becky wasn't much interested in the game, maybe she didn't see the point also. Though there very well might have been a use for those sticks they played it with, as she came to call them. In her time it would probably be a half decent weapon against the enemy, if you ran out of everything else. Though she never really had a need for sticks, what with her powers, but still. Well whatever.
As Becky spoke she had to wonder what people here thought about her presence. Hell it wasn't every day a stranger from the future appeared in the past, still she remembered the day she just appeared there, how people were shocked. Well she'd be probably shocked too, but that was another story. Then there was the fact how she still didn't get some pretty basic normal things in the place, did that look stupid?
"It is? Then why do you have it here?" She asked curiously, surveying the pool table. "Isn't it like silly to hit little balls with sticks just so that they roll to a hole in the table?" Truly she couldn't see a purpose of the game, then again people here didn't have to worry about being killed by something next second. They had to do something with their time. "I'm doing pretty fine. Maybe am a little bored, but I'll survive."

Becky raised he eyebrow, sometimes she would forget that Rachel was from the future and that there were certains things that might not understand. She couldn't help but wonder how the future was, how different things might be, but for some reaosn she didn;t think it was appropriate to start asking random questions about the future, maybe Rachel hated the place and that was why she was here, she didn't want to be the one to bring back bad memories for her.
"It's supposed to be fun, some people like it. I think I would like it if I could actually play" She smiled and walked to the couch to sit down "I know what you mean, it can get a bit bored around here, but I am sure we can find something fun to do"

Noticing the raised eyebrow of her friend made Rachel feel slightly uncomfortable, maybe what she said about the game sounded really stupid. Well at least to someone who lived here. She could tell that Becky was probably curious about the future she came from, but telling someone that everything they now had here was gone, that you had to fight for your life and hide what with the Sentinels, the hounds, that seemed too cruel. It was better not to know of the future sometimes.
Rachel wondered if Becky would think of her differently is she knew that the telepath once was a hound herself, that few had died in a fight for their life. Was she a murderer despite the fact she was brainwashed? Well at times she couldn't help but feel like one. Brainwashed or not, she had proved she and her powers were capable of great evil, one she never wanted to cause again.
"Oh. Well maybe I would like it, but it just seems pointless to me. Can't help it. Plus I don't really get just how it's supposed to be played right." She said with a shrug, following Becky to the couch and sitting down too. "Like what? Maybe we could have a danger room session. That would be more my cup of coffee than pool."

Becky grabbed the television remote in her hands and turn it on, then flipped the channels trying to find something fun to watch. She didn;t want to see the new, she was not in the mood today, there was always something bad to say about mutants and that would just make her bitter, especially after what happened at the zoo.
She was tempted to ask Rachel about her powers, if she could travel back in tim and if she would be willing to take her to the time before her parents murder, so she could prevent it somehow. She had spoken to Valentina about this, and she had told her that things happen for a reason and that there was nothing she could have done, but maybe that wasn't all true.
Becky's eyes opened wide when Rachel mentioned the Danger Room, she has never been in there and she really wasn't planning on going there any time soon, but she knew that she was going to have to anyways. Still, she felt so weak, espcially next to such a powerful mutnat like Rachel, she had more power in her pinky than Becky had in her entire body "I think you would kill me in there"

Rachel watched how Becky flipped the channels, slightly wondering if it was something particular she was looking for. It was funny to see all of the images, mostly she was used to just look at the screen because of monitoring the hideout, courtesy of some cameras they managed to get. One never knew when the enemy could have showed up, it was a rather disturbing feeling. Not to mention how they slept in turns. Even here she found that she couldn't sleep sometimes, instead she used her telepathy to sense if there wasn't any intruder near.
So maybe that was a little paranoid, and she was sure if anyone found out they'd just think she was nuts. Honestly she hadn't really told anyone much about the future, her general story was that her powers just went slightly haywire and she ended up here. To a point it was true, it wasn't her fault that she was here. That was the Phoenix's work. Not that she was complaining much aside from just feeling stupid about not knowing stuff. This place was really paradise compared to her own time.
Noticing Becky's wide eyes at the suggestion she raised her eyebrow. Maybe she wasn't yet in there or something, Rachel didn't really know. At Becky's statement though, it were her eyes that widened. She didn't realize it may have just been a matter of speaking, nobody really said anything like that to her future, knowing that it had it's effects. Becoming more pale she couldn't help ask herself if Becky knew, if people knew. "What? No...I wouldn't...I'd never..." She got out of herself quietly, not knowing if it wasn't best to just clear out of there that very moment.

Becky was actually a little surprised by Rachel's reaction, it seemed that what she said affected her somehow. Becky realized that she should be more careful when talking to Rachel because she really didn't know how the world was in the future. Maybe things were different where she came from and there were certain things that were considered offensive somehow and Becky didn't want to make Rachel feel bad in any way.
"I...I'm sorry Rachel. I didn't mean anything wrong...it's just a saying" It had been a saying, but there was something strange about this whole thing. Why would Rachel get defensive? Rachel was a mysterious girl indeed

Too late did the redhead see the surprise of Becky at her reaction. At first she didn't know what to make of this situation, did she now seem nuts? God she hoped not, that would be too much of a punishment. How she wished Kate was here, or Logan, Magneto, Franklin, anyone she knew who would make this somehow better. She was for the most part just a weapon her entire life, even though she was pretty clever. Dealing with the past world customs was as alien to her as possible actual little green men.
The quick apology of her friend just got her to feel more stupid, why did she have to always mess up in this time? There should have been some manual how to live in here, it was just too strange. She didn't belong here and there were moments she felt it more than others. This was one of those moments. The whole thing was easily explained by one thing - she was completely lost in this paradise world of the past.
"Oh..." That was all she could manage to say. Congratulations Rachel, that was a really intelligent thing to say. Really takes away from feeling like an idiot. She thought to herself with sarcasm, feeling like she could kick herself right now.

Becky really liked Rachel and didn't want her to feel bad in any way. Becky was a very understanding person and she really cared about her friends, she was the kind of person who would sacrifice anything in order to protect or save a friend and she considered Rachel to be a very good friend.
"Rachel, I don't know how you feel...being trapped in this place, but anytime you feel like you need to talk, I am here. I am a pretty good listener" Becky smiled and then turned to the tv. Some scientist were talking about a medication, some sort of anti mutation antidote. "That is so ridiculous...mutation can't be stopped"

How she felt being trapped in this place? Now that was a hell of a good question. There were moments she loved it, like when she discovered there was still nature left in this world. Then there were times she hated it, like right now when she felt like she was from another planet and seemed to look like ET here. So torn would probably be the best way to describe how she felt. Yeah, that was it. Torn. Of course people were nice, at least most of them. Like Becky. If Rachel could only understand their customs better.
Part of her considered just taking every information about how to live and talk in here right from Becky's mind, right then. The next moment however, the girl realized what she was thinking and couldn't help but feel bad for herself. Was she really considering stealing knowledge from the mind of her friend? Was that even her who considered it? Or a better question was who she was. The nice girl Rachel Summers, the hound murderer, or the Phoenix? She wasn't sure anymore.
"I...I feel torn." Was she really telling this to someone? Then again, what else could she do, steal knowledge? "I just don't get some usual things here. Like your lingo, expressions and stuff. Not to mention other customs. When you seem like an alien in a world you can't help but feel stupid." There, she said it. Hopefully it didn't give away anything important.
Turning her eyes to the TV she listened to the scientists, frowning. Did they really think they could cure them? Oh Rachel would love to see them try. Or was it the Phoenix who did? Great, another thing she wasn't sure about. She was going nuts if she couldn't decide who was thinking in her head. God could that be a pain often.
