"Wow." still facinated, she looked at him in purse wonder. "That's...amazing." looking down at the floor for a moment to think. She couldn't help but wonder if Roman had known professer Xavier. For some she knew it was a touchy subject, but she was curious.
"Hey...have you ever met professor Xavier?" she asked cocking her head to the side in wait of a reply.

Roman looked up. Xavier, he hasn't heard that name in a long time. "Yes, I knew Xavier. I fought along side him and the other X-men during the last stand 10 years ago. I'm still not sure how I survived, but I am one of the only ones."
His save from death was the first subject he didn't want to get into. The war was the second. Though he does praise the efforts of everyone in it, it was a horrible battle one that would never leave Romans nightmares. "Xavier was a great man, mentor and friend. I wish he was still here today." He looked away, from Veronica for a second and composed himself before looking back at her.

Veronica slightly nodded. "I only remember him vaguely..I was there, those years ago before..yeah." she sighed, just changing the subject. It was touchy, even for her. She felt an awkward silence comming on, she hated awkward silences.
"Um.." not very articulate, but she wasn't sure what to say next.

Roman looked up. Veronica was in the X-mansion? She said only a few years before, so that said right there she was in her younger 20's. "You were at the X-mansion? You must of been with the ground of younger students who we had to move out of harms way. What ever happened to Shadowcat who went with you?" He wondered what happened to the students who were sent away.

"I...I don't know. Everything was so confusing..I barely remember anything about it." she admitted with a frown, feeling even more useless thn before. Maybe if she hadn't been forcd to go, she could have done something to help, something that could could have saved everyone.
"Anyway..lt's not talk about that..." it wasn't as if ignoring the past would do anything, but still, talking about things that bothred her like that wasn't what Veronica normally did.

"Ok, I was just wondering, one of the many questions from back then I still need answered." Roman looked out the window, the sun was starting to set. "You want to go somewhere? I've been sitting to long and haven't really seen the area outside the mansions grounds. You want to join me?" Roman asked, pushing his seat back, and standing up. Offering his hand to Veronica he waited for her answer.
((I would love to stay up later and talk about disney and the rumors surrounding it, but I need to go, and maybe, if not tomorrow we can finish up this post next monday when we both get back.))

"Oh...er.." she started, gazing at him with slight surprised. She hadn't been out of the mansions grounds much, she had only ventured out once or twice. And those times, she had been alone, without the comforting feeling of having a companion, especially one around hr own age.
She looked down at her book, as if about to tell him that she couldn't, and had reading to catch up on. But no, before she had anymore time to think about a reply, she took his outstretched hand as sh got up, and forcd a light smile. Who knew, it could actually be fun

Roman smiled, he could tell Veronica was uneasy, but he would change that quickly. "You like bikes?" He asked her, as he lead them out of the Library and down the hall. Making thier way to the garage, he pushed the door open and turned the lights on. A few cars filled the large open space, and two motocycles sat side by side.
"This is mine." He pointed to the shinny black motocycle on the left. "The other is Logan's...He'll eat me if I touch it. You up for a ride?" Roman asked, taking out two helmits and holding them in his hand.

"I...uhm.." She honestly wasn't too fond of motercylces. They were loud, and fast, Veronica didn't have high tolerence for loud noise, it irritated her easily. "I'm honestly not to fond of bikes. But I guess there's a first time for everything?" she said, with her statement comming out more question like.
A horrible way for a teacher to talk, but it wasn't as if she was in an english class anyway.

"If you don't like the bikes, I'm sure no one would mind if we borrow a car for bit." Roman suggested, looking around the room. There were some other really nice cars that they could take. Roman started to wonder how this night would turn out. From the window the last few rays of light cast red and gold streaks in the sky.

Veronica nodded, that would be better. It wasn't as if sh knew how to ride on of those things anyway. "Taking a car sounds good...but who's?" she said in wonder, hoping that no one would mind.
She couldn't help but wonder how the rest of the day was going to go. Being around someone her own age she knew, would do her some good. But she wondered what his intentions were. A lot of guys she knew "hooked up" with girls a lot. And being a girl, she wondered if this was his intention. And even more, she wondred if she would accept such an advance from a coleague.

Roman knew things could get strange if he hooked-up with someone he worked with. Right now, he was just looking for a good time, he just needed to get out. "Umm..." Roman looked around the the room and his eyes fell on a yellow Lamborghini. "Lamborghini?" Roman asked walking over to the car. "Know who it belongs to Veronica?" Roman pulled on the door handel and the door swung out and up.

Veronica lightly shook her head as she opened the door to the passenger seat, and slid in. "No idea, but I hope who evere owns it won't be too upset.." she said with a light smile. It wasn't as if they were stealing the car, they were just, borrowing it.
"So..where are we going off to?" she looked at him, cocking her head to the side curiously, a cascade of brown hair flowing over her shoulder.

Roman slid in to the car, the seat forming to his body. Making some quick changes to the seat and mirror, he turned to address Veronica. "No idea, park, movies, club, bar, random drive. I'm up for anything."
It dawned on Roman that most people dont keep thier keys in thier car. Flipping down the top visor, maybe he'd get lucky. He didn't, there was no metalic clanging of keys as they fell into his lap. Giving Veronica a questioning look, he stuck his finger to the ignition and sent a small shock through the system. The car started to hum as the engine started. "Just like hot wireing, with out the wires."
Pushing the garage door button, the door went up and Roman with Victora sped into the darkining light.

"Impressive." she said, referring to how he had decided to start the car. Useful power indeed, he would never have to worry about loosing his car keys. "How about the park." she said thoughtfully a slight smile forming on her face.
It was getting darker outside, she hadn't noticed how fast time had gone by. When she was in the library, it had been just before sunset, and now it seemed like it was just after, hints of orange and light blue lingering in the darkening sky. It was actually quite pretty.
Besides that, it seemed like a nice night for the park, thy could just sit and talk. Or walk and talk, whatever, it was all mostly the same.
